Home
Child Care is a service for families who are eligible for child
care subsidy. When parents are working or attending school, they
can be assured that their children are being well cared for in the
home of one of our carefully screened and selected caregivers. Our
caregivers love children and provide a stimulating variety of learning
and play activities for children from birth to age 12. Each caregiver’s
home meets all fire, health and safety standards and is regularly
monitored by the Region’s Child Care Division staff. Home
child care can be available 24 hours, seven days a week, right in
your own neighborhood! There are over 400 caregiver homes in the
Region and over 1300 children in care.
